Valentine Mantel

Hello all! As you already know Valentines Day is fast approaching! I usually don't do a ton of decorating for this holiday (which is a shame because it's so fun) but Claire requested we do it this year so I couldn't say no. So far I've just done the mantel using mostly items I already owned.

I purchased the wooden letters from Hobby Lobby and spray painted them white.

The candle, vase filler and vase I purchased from Pottery Barn several years ago.

The only pink candle I own and I finally had an excuse to use it!

The chalkboard printable is from Nest of Posies. You can go here to download it. There are four to choose from and they are all so cute it was hard for me to pick just one!

The lantern is left over from Christmas. I just pulled off the green ribbon that accompanied the red one.

We've been using our fireplace a lot lately since it's been cold. The weather man is calling for rain and ice tomorrow so we're prepared with plenty of firewood, milk, bread, eggs and chocolate. Does anyone else consider chocolate to be a snowy day necessity? =)

Happy (almost) Friday!
