Last weekend we took a mini vacation to Charleston. We did a little swimming, a little shopping, and a little eating. We found some great restaurants off the beaten path that I jotted down for future reference. Here are a few pictures from our trip.
Walking like a pro (or at least a one year old).
One of the highlights of our trip was our visit to the outdoor market in downtown Charleston.
Claire's a natural shopper.
Thanks for her new kitty Grammy!
This little shop had freshly squeezed lemonade and teas. I tried green tea for the first time and it was really good. It's suppose to be healthy for you so I'm hoping I can replace my unhealthy soda addiction with that.
There were lots of handmade items for sale like these wood carved bowls.
And some not so handmade items as well.
Salt water taffy
some scary looking alligator heads
And the famous Charleston baskets. Let me tell you these things are not cheap which is why we still don't have one but I truly believe they are worth every penny! I just have to convince Matt of that. =)
Claire was dying to take a carriage ride but we didn't see these until the last day and didn't have time.
Caramel Apples Yuuuum!!
Marshmallow cones...may have to steal this idea.
What a fun time! Can't wait till it's a little warmer and we can go to the beach!!
